Upper Allen Township, PA – Multi-Vehicle Crash Closes Route 15 (October 11, 2026)

A multi-vehicle crash shut down a portion of northbound Route 15 in Upper Allen Township, Cumberland County, on Sunday, October 11, 2026. Pennsylvania's 511PA traffic reporting system indicated the crash was called in just before noon on the northbound side of the highway, between the Route 114 ramp at the Mechanicsburg and Bowmansdale exit and the Winding Hill Road and Cumberland Parkway exit.

A separate crash was also reported that afternoon on Route 15 in neighboring York County, near Range End Road and Golf Course Road, which caused additional lane closures and traffic delays in both directions. That crash was reported as unrelated to the Upper Allen Township collision.

The crash in Cumberland County occurred during a day of unsettled weather across central Pennsylvania, with heavy rain and flooding concerns prompting warnings and event cancellations elsewhere in the region that Sunday.
